My 96' Z26 *Updated WITH PIX*

Post by Squeeze »

Hey guys, im new to the site. This is my second Beretta. My first one i got when i was in highschool for $200 lol, yes it was a dump but i actually made it decent for a first car. Since then ive always wanted a GTZ,GTU,Z26, or even Indy, but they are getting harder to find in nice shape and what not. Well just out of pure luck, I was browsing Craigslist and found a 96 burried in a garage. The price tag and the model both caught my attention. I only paid $600 for it. Now, mind you, it had been sitting in this garage for 4-5 Years, and the guy thought it blew the head gasket because it had a milkshake in the oil pan. I figured it was the Lower intake gasket. Well long story short, was able to unburry it, trailer it home, clean it really well, put a battery in it and it fired. Now of course, i didnt let it run alot or even drive it really because of the state its in, didnt want to damage anything. But hopefully this weekend my trusted mechanic buddy will do his magic and it will be on the road by this weekend. Its already tagged and insured all thats missing is the motor work. Ill post pics here in a bit.

lol, thanks, hopefully my mechanic buddy will be able to get it fixed this weekend so i can start driving it and really detailing it. So far i bought this car as a commuter car to spare my 03' GP GT, and i wasnt planning on doing anything major to it really. I think these cars look good as is. I think if anything ill clear lense the tails, with LEDs. Lower it as much as i can, fix the front bumper, possibly paint the rims red or that copperish yellow goldish look. and repaint the spoiler and hood.

Please don't do this...

The beretta tails are too good to mess with. Anyone who's ever attempted to clear them with LED's they end up looking like rice... they are just not designed to look good that way.

well by "clear" i didnt mean fast and furious APC garbage, i meant like i did to my Grand Prix with the "clear" or "frosted" lense. Im torn between that or a light shade of VHT to match the rear filler panels
