I get that, "Ohhh yea, my sister had corsica JUST LIKE it"

Or the typical "that cavalier is pretty clean, what year is it?"

Both times, I didnt care to correct them that it was a Burrito.

It's Facebook/imgur/reddit/etc generation dude, all you do is click one button (like/up/etc), anyone bothering to comment these days is already exception :good:

It's been too quiet on the board lately. Even I haven't been active, but I do have a good reason for that.

Also here is a video of the white car running after I took my quick test drive between the old and new garage:

Youtube

Also it's a bit, but just a bit more silent with the cat converter now attached.

Aaand, then there was airplane flying over just at that moment, oh well..

As would I.....not much chance of that for me.

Weba any thoughts on a Cavy strut tower bar? That MRZ bar looks good, but does flex. Not that I'm trying to sell you one. I do have a few if you need one and a few frame braces. More than willing to ship if you ever change your mind.

Well I think both of these options are weak, so If I'm upgrading, I will weld my own out of much beefier stuff. Also that will cost less then shipping anything overseas.

Just don't want to toss the MRZ bar cause I've paid lot of money from it back in the days. :) Also This car far over handles my driving courage with these tires (on a track), with something stickier... Anyhow, I still dream about reinforcing the frame with roll cage, and that bar would be part of it then.

Only reason the cage is not done yet, is because it would make the car heavier, and I don't want add any weight to it, the other way please.

I'd have to change to fiberglass hood, cut doors etc, to keep the weight same with cage.

Currently the car weights about 1200kg, that is less than in stock form, even with super-heavy exhaust and brakes and all the added suspension bars, But I'd love to see that closer to 1100kg. Would mean skinnier brakes and all.... Not going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

Dropping 100kg would be very tough. I've got no idea what could be done. With the hood what's the loss......20kg? Not worth the cost.

Caging makes the interior a mess though too. I've contemplated that myself with my other car. For the Beretta I've always thought it would be cool to try structural foam in the frame cavities that are already there. No wasted space.

How did I just find this thread? I skimmed over it just now, but I'm giving it a good read later =). I agree with Eric (woody), I've seen bits and pieces of your projects, it's amazing to see how much hard work you have put into your cars, and great times you have had with them. Hope I'm able to meet you one day.

Edit: Read it, loved it, looking forward to more. Best of luck with your house, man!
