It's been too quiet on the board lately. Even I haven't been active, but I do have a good reason for that.

Weba any thoughts on a Cavy strut tower bar? That MRZ bar looks good, but does flex. Not that I'm trying to sell you one. I do have a few if you need one and a few frame braces. More than willing to ship if you ever change your mind.

Well I think both of these options are weak, so If I'm upgrading, I will weld my own out of much beefier stuff. Also that will cost less then shipping anything overseas.

Just don't want to toss the MRZ bar cause I've paid lot of money from it back in the days. Also This car far over handles my driving courage with these tires (on a track), with something stickier... Anyhow, I still dream about reinforcing the frame with roll cage, and that bar would be part of it then.

Man.....should have seen that coming. Must have forgoten who I was talking to.

Only reason the cage is not done yet, is because it would make the car heavier, and I don't want add any weight to it, the other way please.

I'd have to change to fiberglass hood, cut doors etc, to keep the weight same with cage.

Currently the car weights about 1200kg, that is less than in stock form, even with super-heavy exhaust and brakes and all the added suspension bars, But I'd love to see that closer to 1100kg. Would mean skinnier brakes and all.... Not going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

Dropping 100kg would be very tough. I've got no idea what could be done. With the hood what's the loss......20kg? Not worth the cost.

Caging makes the interior a mess though too. I've contemplated that myself with my other car. For the Beretta I've always thought it would be cool to try structural foam in the frame cavities that are already there. No wasted space.

How did I just find this thread? I skimmed over it just now, but I'm giving it a good read later =). I agree with Eric (woody), I've seen bits and pieces of your projects, it's amazing to see how much hard work you have put into your cars, and great times you have had with them. Hope I'm able to meet you one day.

Thanks everyone. Support from Beretta community is one of the reasons I've got this far and still keep going it seems.

Also I plan to attend Bfest and hopefully the European meet too in future, It's been too many years.
