Could be a bit warmer on Saturday. Man I got to laugh at that in a nice way. I'd be lucky to be able to add fluids in those nasty temps. So hard on the old hands!

Oh wow that is a never ending dream for me. Oops......also a lift. My poor 95 would be in so much better shape with just heated shop. Last year I reseald the cowl area. Outside was 28F and the leaky garage was about the same. The personal heater and drop light(resting above the cowl) did seem to help(lol).

Does your car have much rust on the underside?

Aside from a small rust hole in the drivers rocker that I patched for now...there's surprisingly little....the frame rails all have the original paint on them and some sort of undercoating even when I had the tank off there wasn't any rust above there....The spring perches have surface rust.but thats about it....thankyou undercoating otherwise she would be toast ...it's weird the body or frame isn't rusting but the fuel lines and exhaust sure pick up the rust in a hurry lol

Nice to hear that the rust is not nasty. Don't forget to check the brake lines too. mine have put fear into me. The exhaust, well that is like rust heaven if you think about it.

This is true...and all the brake lines ..metal and rubber were replaced 2 years ago when I got the car..and already the back ones are getting pretty rusty..even with undercoating lol never ending battle

Well the lays changed and all is normal again...had to take my winter tires off because the back 2 were weather cracked and leaking so I'm getting 2 new winters mounted and all 4 tires balanced...so the white gtz rims and tires are back on for a few days ..here's hoping it doesn't snow meanwhile lol

How did a phone come up with that? Anyway good to hear the alt is in and working well.

I still would like to know what it's like to live in a non rust belt area.

I hear ya on that ...that's the only reason cars really die up here is due to rust ...not much for updates got the winter tires back on and a nice piece of cardboard in front of some of the rad so I have heat on the highway ...and that's it...just been driving her without issue..and FYI I did put a hotter thermostat in...there's just way too much airflow in the front on the hwy ...
