Small update -

Engine is all ready to go, just needs dropped in. All else that needs done is replacing the TCC solenoid in the trans.

No recent updates on the swap...

But I did blow money on a deal I couldn't pass up. Yea, I know I know... Lots of money and fabrication required. However, that doesn't bother. Tyler's thread on his was a very good read, and I know what I'm up against! But getting everything pictured for $560? Can't say no to that. It also has already had the high speed bearings installed to replace the originals.

That looks like his very poor engineering way to support the shaft near the pulley against deflection when RPM picks up. Tyler noticed on his the pulley and shaft would bend inwards towards the accessory belt system when rev'd which resulted in one of his supports that he had to design to press against the water pump housing and support that shaft. SO this is part 1 of time and money to re-engineer that entire drive system.

Can't see why it can't be done, other than needing a hefty bracket to support it way out there and not flex... as well as the space... You'd have to re-locate the upper mount or go back to pre 91 mounting system.

Weighing my options here on doing the OBD2 swap...

Milzy Motorsports is only about half an hour from me. Between cost and convenience for the swap and tune, would the cost difference be worth it to do it myself or have them do it?

I plan to have them dyno tune the car regardless of who does the OBD2 swap, whether it's them or myself. I have no issue doing the work myself, I enjoy doing these kinds of things. However if it doesn't cost much more in the long run to have someone else do it professionally in a quicker time frame, I may consider having them do all of it.

Dyno tune is $500, and the swap would run right around $1000 at their swap.
