I do understand, and I keep trying to look on the bright side of things. Some days it's easier than others. Maybe I just have too much faith in others when it comes to things they've done more times than myself.

I do plan to go through the entire car with a fine tooth comb when I get it back. I hope I don't have any swap issues, it's pretty straight forward on mine as compared to Shawn's. 90% of the wiring has already been taken care of to make it run and drive, so it won't take much for me to double check it all. There's a lot less to be able to mess up when you're going from a 3400 to a 3500, as compared to a Quad 4 to a 3500, so I have that going for me!

I have no problem doing the OBD2 swap myself, it's the tuning that concerns me. I read about tuning over and over, and it's like Greek to me. I'm good with my hands, but bad with all of the technical stuff.

So I had forgotten to post this a while back... Found a sweet rig job on the back of the V9. The guy JB Welded a copper tube in place. It's not hard to do it right, come on people!

I hate my crappy, non eventful updates on this thread.

So here's another one anyways. Tyler's boss at the shop he works for is letting him bring the car to the shop to finish it. A friend passed the week before of a heart attack, and they're having a benefit car show in his honor, as he was very largely involved in the local old school car scene. The show is April 8, and Tyler knows I want to be able to take the car to it.

If that's what it takes, that's what it takes.

If I remember correctly, a stock 3400 is rated at 180hp, where a stock 3500 is rated at 200hp. I'm sure this is all due to the better flowing manifolds, heads and intake. I am also transferring over my headers, 65mm TB and street cam, so it's anybody's guess what the improvements will be, but I'm sure they'll be noticeable.

Being the 4t60e nerd that I am I'm going to ask this question... Did you actually have a TCC issue in this car? The solenoids on these transmissions are far less likely to go bad vs the 3t40 cars... so if you were having a TCC lockup issue the odds of it being something else, such as the TCC valve itself or another valve body circuit, is much higher than the solenoid being the issue.

BTW, that Industrial gray color that I use is actually Ford Gray.... Maybe that's why my transmission keeps having issues...

Must be a 1 cylinder Transmission swap. lol
