This is why I like the prom chip is removable from the obd1 stuff. If it goes bad, its just one chip instead of a whole ECM.

$30 on eBay was very reasonable to me, lol.

Next on the list is getting my new rear axle POR15'd and prepped for the Neon disc swap...

Tore down the new axle today! The junk poly bushings just pushed right out, but the internal sway bar bolts needed coerced.

Yep. But being electrical I'd probably source the parts and repair my ECM. lol

Can the OBD2 tuner emulate off the laptop and do changes on the fly or does it have to reflash each time?

Rewritable chips are $5. Haha

What am I missing about poly bushings in a stock rear axle beam? Aren't they rubber?

I tried to use a ball joint press to remove mine but didn't have the perfect adapter for it. Thinking I'll need to pull the whole axle out and do it on a bench.

I need to buy TunerPro RT, so I can check out live data. The free one is nice, but I really want to be able to tune it properly. RT is only $40 too.

The axle is Shane's old axle and it had the Delrin bushings, which were junk lol. I have some Moog ones on order though!

More good progress today! Most of the surface rust is removed from the new rear axle. The internal sway bar is going to be the fun one though...

I had a FUN project today. It appears that when I installed my euro headlights that I never really wired them properly after I test wired them. Good Lord that was a cluster. So many wire nuts, and no ryhme or reason for the wiring routing. It's all fixed now though! I just need to pick up some more zip ties and it'll be all good.
