Got some progress pics back from the fabricator.
3” SS downpipe seen here and the proper fitted feed pipe from the turbo cold side outlet to the intercooler inlet:
3” SS downpipe meeting up with the 3” exhaust nice and tight - I’m asking him if there is room for a V-band up here so it will be easier to get the downpipe out:
3” SS meeting up to the modified TwinZ performance axle back:
And working on getting that 3” over the rear axle:

I swear I've seen this car somewhere before... lol
When do you get the car back? You'll probably have time to get it all fixed up but it's gonna be a photo finish, for sure. Definitely be an interesting convoy to Bfest!

I won’t have time to pick it up until Wednesday night. Lots to do between when I get it back and when we leave, that’s for sure. If you can get it to TN, I'm still game to tow it up to MKE if we can figure out the added fuel costs. I think I'd prefer to drive the Berettas, but we'll have to see what state everything is in come the 11th hour. I have the entire week of Bfest off so I might be able to come over the Saturday before (next weekend, holy crap!) and lend another hand... that's assuming my car is all buttoned up by then.

Hey, if you bring your e-brake stuff, I'll bring mine. It’s not helpless for me. It’s time spent working on something I don’t NEED to drive the car. I have other things that NEED to be done to drive it. Hence why I’m not focusing on getting those done (I had to wait for parts and find the levers).

Got the car back from the fabricator today after work, he did an awesome job. Some tight tolerances around the transmission housing and the rear axle, but he got it all to work. I didn’t get any pictures of the rear axle area tonight, I will tomorrow.
Took everything out to wrap. Not shown is the center section of the crossover that I wrapped since it’s right under the throttle body.
Downpipe:
Wastegate dump tube:
Also installed two fittings for vacuum reference for the wastegate and BOV. The closer to the turbo, the better for faster response of the valves. These are about 6-8” away from the turbo outlet, in the intercooler feed pipe.
Tomorrow final reassembly will begin.

Those o2 sensors look like they are pointing down. That's a big no no from everything I've read (including the AEM instructions for my wideband). Condensation can kill the sensors.

The aren’t pointing down but I would have done it a little different. I’ll move them in phase 2 (forged build). For phase 1, them sticking straight out will be ok.
The wrap is DEI titanium; you don’t need to get it wet to wrap it or spray it like their other wraps. I used it on my Forester with good results so why stray from what works?

Well I figure an update is overdue...
Got the car to BFest, via trailer... had problems bleeding my brakes (come to find out one of the rear calipers had a bad seating area), and had issues getting the clutch bled. Got both of those taken care of with a power bleeder later on thanks to Mr. Kimmitt.
Got the basic tune (thanks to Mr. Pink) with values adjusted for the 2 bar MAP and 42.5 lb injectors loaded and fired the car up at BFest with surprisingly little trouble. Lifters were loud until they pumped up.
Changed the vacuum source feed to the old EGR port on the intake for the BOV reference, and capped one of the ports I put on the intercooler plumbing.
Got an alignment last weekend, but had to have it redone after trailering the car home as the toe was way off. Come to find out I have a loose left tie rod, so I’ll be replacing both of those shortly. Also changed up the clutch pin setup with help thanks to Brian - the older clutch pedal that I had in my car doesn’t work with the newer style master cylinder. We replaced the pin with a brass bushing/shoulder bolt setup.
I am going to change the location of the O2 bungs before I start the logging/tuning, just so I can make sure they don’t take on any moisture during the time I’m driving/tuning it and cause misreads on the sensors.
But it runs and drives finally after almost 3 years! I replaced the headliner today finally, and added LED bulbs to the interior to make it slightly more modern looking inside at night.
