Got your attention huh? Actually starting a thread n the new build. Hope its in the right section.

93 medium quasar blue quad 4. Traded a project 4 wheeler and some cash. Was one owner until about 6 months ago.

So i begin a long slow build. It needs some basic things like trim and cleaned to major like fuel pump and brake issues. Paint is a little rough but its rust free.

So i figured iIwould share some pics as i go.

Nice! Love to see another Quasar Quad come out of the woodwork! Lost so many good ones recently :(

Love the car, and keep us updated with pics!

P.S. I already have the license plate "QUAZY", so it might get strange if we park next to each other sometime :)

Branson is very doable since I'm near stl.

Put a few hours in on the car Saturday. Previous owner silicone the sunroof shut. Probably the worst part of this whole car. Dropped the headliner to find a disconnected drain tube. And a mouse nest. But at least it works again.

Also ordered the fuel pump, so by next weekend it should be running. Then its onto brakes.

If it's solid you will rip it off in a heartbeat.
Rubber, just have to be careful.
I have a solid PVC one sitting here in the closet that wouldn't last a day entering my condo underground, LOL!

(Hint) Don't use nuts and bolts. Use plastic rivets! You're welcome!

Got under the car tonight. Little bit of rust but not too terribly bad compared to others. Wheel wells look great.

The really good news is it has a new fuel filter and appeared to have a newer pump. But the driver side harness was unplugged. Yea right... . cant'tbe that easy. Well it was. The car runs!! ! And great at that.

Drove down the drive. Clutch felt ok. Brakes are gone. Leaking out the back drum. So this weekend is a full brake job.

Big win tonight. And looks like I have a spare fuel pump l hold onto since it was $90 on rockauto

Just a little update. Replaced rusted brakelines this weekend and next is the master cylinder. Messed with little things like fixing blower motor. Changed fluids.

Car made a short trip down my road. Rides fairly decent but want wait to go balls crazy with suspension.

Finally got this shiftier cable issue fixed. Took the car down my country road for a couple miles. Runs strong. Oil pressure stayed high, never got hot. But did notice it needs a lot of work on the suspension. Struts make a lot of noise. Little bit of play in steering. And it needs a motor mount.

Im very close to wanting to plate it to drive it to work

Fuel gauge wasn't working and ran out of gas luckily while sitting in the driveway running. So screw it, new pump is going in. The tank was spotless inside but the strainer was horrible. Also going to clean up some rust underneath and start undercoating.
