Mine said Z26 for my old car and I just cut a piece at work to go over it.

Charged the A/C at a buddy's and it was still blowing hot air. Figured out it was the temp blend door actuator not working...the connector was cut off. So Jon sent me a new one and I had cool air out of the vents. Bought a set of manifold gauges and saw it was overcharged...so I got the pressures where they needed to be and now I have some 48* cold A/C. Very nice!

$97 from Advance. You can get 'em cheaper but I needed it right now.

So...car ate another axle on the way to Tennessee. Missed the Tail of the Dragon and the group photo while I waited on a new outer CV to be overnighted to the hotel and swapped it in the parking lot Sat night. That was pretty awesome.
Hopefully I have successfully fixed the problem for good now. I hope.
I checked my drivetrain alignment and found the driver axle was misaligned by a good 1/2". That's the side that keeps shitting the bed...so that makes sense, but that is the OEM 5spd side, not the engine mount I welded in. Checked my "frankenbracket" that was hacked to clear the headers and it was ok. Measured the same and aligned the same as a stocker I had laying around.
So I modified the billet mount to straighten out the axle. Ditched the steel sleeves supplied with the mount, lathed a couple new ones and used an old poly control arm bushing for added sleeve length.I made the poly .020" thicker than the steel sleeves for a little bit of crush on the bracket.
It could be me, but it also feels like it dampened a little bit of engine vibration. I also did some testing during our annual cruise night in town and there is still no wheel hop! haha It feels good. Oh and the "SS" took 2nd place in the 1985-2000 class at the car show. Got beat by a 50k bone stock 95 Grand Prix garage queen: 3100 auto weaksauce.

Glad I'm not the only one to get beat by an oddball...

Once again I know the cars and not sure who the people are. Was that GP an SC?

So...since I can never leave anything alone...it has me thinking...this might just work. I can try and cut one at work and see how it goes. Doing the red will be the bitch of it...would have to be colored by hand. Maybe I could mask & spray, then wipe with alcohol or something.
And for future reference, I do have a high-res scan of the stock cluster if anyone needs it.

If you have the time, I have a friend who has a printer that can do this.
