I bet you cleaned up that aluminum a lot quicker then the iron block.
Was there ever a oil squirter for the pistons available on the 60*?

on the 3500 yes just cylinder 5/6. On the later 3900 and 3500 vvt I believe the block changed enough to allow all cylinders to have a squirter. Unfortunately the LX9 3500 there isnt enough room to machine a flat to install two more squirters, otherwise I would be doing that.
And actually the bits I have cleaned up the block WAY quicker than I expected... I was using just a single cut carbide bur

The squirters are nice but I don't think they are NECESSARY.... The only thing I noticed about the 3400 I bought was the backs of the 5-6 pistons were clean... vs the rest had carbon and oil deposit build up from not being constantly washed with oil. And yeah the hole taps right into the main cam oil galley and there is a valve in it that prevent's the oil from draining out of that squirter, it only lets oil by when under pressure.

I re-sealed the firewall with the napa sealant, did two thin coats this time so no areas cracked on me. I then sprayed over that coating with the Leak Seal stuff from rustolieum... Seems to work good. That also dried up nicely and didn't stay a tacky mess like some rubberized undercoatings do. I still need to clean up and spray the rest of the bay with the bed liner I got.

Also got my two cam choices from Ben yesterday...
Current cam specs adv dur 216/240 @ .050 .517/.568 lift 112LSA I believe it's a 113 ICL but not sure.
I'm leaning towards the Xtreme Energy just because that will reuse the same springs I have and I haven't seen any long term ill effects form them. Heavier springs could cause premature cam bearing wear, lifter bleed down, and damage or snapping of a valve... And its only 10 more hp across the mid range and 8 on top... I can probably get that another way for less money and not as much fear of longevity issues.

XFI cam would require new PAC springs which are stiffer than what I have, and also need new seats and seals as well as machining the head spring pockets to allow them to be installed at the proper height for close valve preload.This is the best I can come up with without XFI lobes. XFi is 10 hp more in the mid range and 8 up top running less duration and more lift with a faster ramp up rate. The springs necessary are nitrided so that aspect would be better for longevity. The stiffer spring will probably stretch your double roller....ROFL not. Bearings might be an issue but I haven't heard of it. Lasted a year in a racing engine without an issue but thats not the same type application.
Xtreme Energy version Advertised by comp as 276/294 adv 224/242 @ .050 .536/.576 lift 113 ICL 115 LSA.
XFI version Advertised by comp as 268/286 adv 218/236 @ .050 .570/.579 lift 109 ICL 114 LSA.

I've wondered how the Leak Seal works, good to know. May coat mine with same after I re-seal mine this season.
And as for the cams, don't you need to run higher rpm's the more lift you go with, in order to get the most out of the cam's performance range? I remember only going with a street cam for that reason, so I'd always be in the power band while cruising and at WOT. I mean if that's the case, wouldn't your car be better off with the .536 / .576? Or would the engine perform better with the even larger cam due to using nitrous on the track?

You didnt scuff your engine bay before you painted it last time?
I didnt realize your current cam had such a huge intake/exhaust split on lift & duration. That's a nice match for the nitrous though without excessive overlap.

Didn't think I had to scuff it with using the bed liner and actually I didn't in some areas but my biggest issue was it not being clean.
And which is a good match for nitrous? My old setup? Ben did a lot of simulations with and without the nitrous and found that power output wasn't affected much so he shot for peak power N/A and just adapted the ICL and LSA to what nitrous typically likes.

Yeah, the old setup. 24* split rather than 18*. Either will be good though. The exhaust port must be kinda weak on the 60*v6. Do you know what the stock duration and lift is? I'm just curious on that one.
