It is best to have the socket with a "window" cut into it for the wire. You can use a wrench, but the is just guessing when it comes to torque. You sure you don't have an air leak or bad/sticking IAC? Did the idle drop lower or go higher? Higher would be TPS.
Nice to see your car at the cruise. Really stands out!

Nothing... I haven't been driving it this summer at all.. I heard TCC solenoid might be broken, no idle when stopping.. is it pain to change? Where's it's location?

So your car now has start&stop ? It's located in the transmission, some work to change, never done it, swapped in 5spd manual instead.

Re: -88 GT
quite easy to change actually... Drop subframe on that side and I believe the side cover comes off without lowering the trans on that side... I could be wrong, it's been a few years since I've done it on my Indy but the solenoid was easy to swap out and put the cover back on and voila done...

Hey! Were back in business soon! Car had to go to workshop, it needs new front tailpipe, catalytic converter, idle valve (?), fuel filter... no idle when warm, because runs so rich...

I've done it without removing the subframe. The only other thing I took apart was the air filter box/intake pipe and the bracket holding the AC canister needs removed so the pipe/canister can wiggle around to get the side pan off. It was a tight fit but it was easier for me at the time.3X00-Modified wrote:quite easy to change actually...
