What's on your BFest to-do list?

Post by Ozzwoman9 »

I'm not going, but mine's sitting and needs licensed and maybe a battery charge by now lol

Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

- Finish removing clear bra
- Remove adhesive leftover from clear bra
- Sand entire car
- Decide how I want to paint it...
- Paint it
- Put it all back together
- Stand back and stare at it, longingly

- Install new TB
- Install new ported and polished plenum and lower intake manifold
- Wish I had enough time to install the headers
- Cry that I won't win Best Engine Bay again this year

- Install new front big brake kit
- Rock said new kit like a boss by stopping on some dimes

- Pass emissions
- Get new plate tags
- Remove EGR valve and commence cancelling out all of the good Prius' do here in Colorado

- Clean and detail everything
- Wipe everything down one more time
- Wish I had a black dash in my black interior car

Chad, I'm happy to hear that your clutch is still good... consequently, I won't be riding in your car this year! lol

But I want you to! I need a reason to replace both front axles!

Got a voicemail at 4:30 that Johnny was done at the upholstery shop and that if I could get there in a half hour to pick it up great! Otherwise we will be here at 7:30 Monday morning.
Didn't get the voice mail until 5:15 due to being in a no phone service area and besides I was over 2 hours away. I work Monday - Saturday soooo not sure how I'm going to pick it up.

I've hardly even thought about this...

Take the cover off, Check the tire pressure and fluids, then drive. If I'm ambitious I might change the oil, alternator (stops charging at 6500 RPM), and maybe even swap the radio. I wouldn't hold my breath on that though. Oh, and can't forget to put the license plates on. Probably should pack the necessary items to bypass the original 1994 heater core just in case.

If people would just have dropped outta school and not graduate, I'd manage to make it to bfest and have a list of my own. Grad parties are always a wrench thrower for the stuff I rather being attending.

There's always that kind of thing.. then comes the realisation that you can't be at every party/event and you take the time to do something that you want to do. People will understand

Agreed. I missed my sister's HS graduation for GM Nationals at Carlisle. Probably should have gone though since she flunked out of college....lol

I can relate. We went to a huge car show out of town a few years back and skipped my sister in-laws wedding. It's been a huge family drama ever since and she or her husband still don't talk to us to this day.
They didn't come to our wedding many years earlier and we didn't make a big deal about it. We even told her as soon as she announced the date that if she could change it great but otherwise we already have plans that weekend.

Chad91GTZ wrote:My list of stuff to do has gotten much smaller thanks to Mr. Pride.

Still quite the list.

Replace AC hoses and recharge system.
Fix headlight switch so I have regular beams instead of just High.
Install trunk release.
Alignment
Oil Change
Touch up all the flaking paint.
Wash, Wax. Polish.

Stuff I've completed in the last 4 days!

Struts
Shocks
Balljoints
Tie Rods
Swaybar endlinks
Front Brakes
Control Arm bushings.
Starter and Solenoid
Power Steering Pump
New Tires.

Clutch is still good. Haha

I'd post all the stuff I've done, but I haven't done anything except help Mike with all his crap or hear about him helping you with yours. I'm pretty sure I bought a parts car just for him, cause he's tearing through my stash of stuff for his collection. I'll be lucky to arrive with any paint left on my car, let alone complete anything of either of my cars. Like the engine.
