What's on your BFest to-do list?

I'm envious... you guys are getting stuff done while I'm up in Chicago, 700+ miles away from being able to turn a wrench.

We'll see... I've got to replace part of my fence Saturday morning since my neighbor is offering to help. Hopefully that won't take too long and I can get cracking on the car. Assuming I can find the fence posts...

Updated! A few key things knocked out but I REALLY fear the paint work is going to be down to the wire...

Is your car going to have horizontal paint drips on it? LOL

Oh and which headers do you have?

According to the seller of the headers: "They are the original ones John (forced_firebird) made based off a set Jon (3400-mod) modified to work on L-body's." So there ya go! I think I'm going to have a shop mock them for me because yes, this set is pretty trashed.

You will probably have to re-locate the oil pressure sending unit and get a different fan, and maybe modify the rear tube to clear the 3t40 because I know the SS one's don't clear the 3t like they do the 4t.

Troubleshoot cruise control.
Install new condenser and charge AC.
Fix GM tilt column wobble.
Hook up stereo.
Install new front signals & markers.

Down to charging AC and hopefully there is enough time to tear the column apart and fix the infamous GM tilt wobble.

All this mandatory OT at work is killing my free time to get things done. We're leaving Saturday morning to get out to my sister-in-law's Sunday night.

Find vacuum leak - Done (it was more of a 'there-was-a-whole-section-of-tube-missing')
New Tires - Wheels are now wrapped in new rubber!

Clean the parts of it that haven't disintegrated

Lawn mowed, garbage done, car packed and wiener pup at my parents. Ready to hit the road for Denver about 6am tomorrow.

Clean the parts of it that haven't disintegrated - Done. Contemplated wire wheeling some of the rust, but decided against it (so far). Might play around with it after Berettafest.

Design bolts/sleeves for lower dogbone mount CHECK
change oil filter CHECK
re-install fuel line for nitrous setup CHECK
Vac out dog hair as well... CHECK
would LOVE to Buff and wax the exterior, but I'll be lucky if it get's washed and fast waxed... Washed and hiding in Geoff's garage, May Polish Tomorrow
touch up paint on bumper Forgotten.. Oh well

Oh and PACK! Obviously done since I'm already In NC...

Thanks to a lot of help from Jon and my friend David, my list became much shorter... I won't get everything done that I had on the list, but that's ok. With any luck, a wash, polish, and interior cleaning will happen today after work.

What do you have left to do to your car before BFest 2013 in Denver, CO?

Personally... here's mine.

Install new front bumper - DONE
Install spoiler or trunk lid - DONE
Paint eggcrate grill and decide whether to rock it or not - DONE
Install new dew strips
Install new door handles/trim
Touch-up paint on hood/fenders
Finish 6x9 box installation - DONE
Reinstall rear seat, shelf, and rear sail panels - DONE
Polish filler panels/tails
Remove dog hair from back seat
Replace broken fog-light lens - DONE
Secure headlamp adjuster on passenger side - DONE
Install brake pads - DONE
Fabricate and install battery tray in trunk - DONE - sort of lol
Check fluids - DONE
Oil/filter change - DONE
Detail interior and exterior

There are a lot of write ups online. Common problem with GM tilt columns from 60s-90s.
