1996 Beretta

The interior dome light in the middle of the ceiling. I know how to remove the cover to get to the light bulb.

The oval shaped white plastic piece connected to the ceiling, does that have to be removed to take the shell out to replace the headliner?
If so, what is the best way to remove it and reinstall it?

I have a supplier local that sells the factory color head liner with foam backing and I want to replace the head liner this week.

I removed mine when I redid my headliner; the headliner sits behind it just a little bit.

It is a PITA to remove, it is in the roof GOOD. Uses two really strong plastic trees that are built into the white plastic piece.

ok, so I carefully pull it off then? Is it friction fit?

Yeah, it's tricky to pull it off and not damage the headliner board. Definitely use plastic prying tools.

Just a side question. Is there a reference number for the grey color for the 1996 Beretta headliner?
The place I went to has everything except the matching grey.
Worst case I can't find it and I take some off the asking price when someone looks at the car, but I'm hoping I can get the proper color and replace it soon.
