Sell it or use as trade in?

Post by BlackRose94 »

I've finally decided to part with my '94 Beretta.
I got the car, brand new, my junior year in high school.
It still runs although it does need some engine, interior, and exterior work.
Would I be better off trying to sell it myself or use it as a trade in?

Specs:
V6 3.1L
Automatic
122k miles

Engine has slow oil and coolant leak. Needs new motor mounts.

Body has hail damage, paint is faded in spots.

Needs new tires.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks.

I would sell it out right.  i got on Kelley blue book and for my area here are the prices it gives me

trade in Excelent $735, good 660 fair 535
Private party sell Excellent  1,390 good 1,215 fair 915
Retail value  Excellent condition 2,090

Pretty much on any older car you are going to get more out of it if you sell it out rite.  good luck.

Definetly sell it yourself; you'd be lucky if a dealership gave you $500 for it.

Being in Texas is this thing rust-free?

If so I would think you would attract some attention from people looking to do a 3400/3500 swap.

Hell RUST-FREE is still way better than most.

Throw up some pics so we can see the "damage"

'92 3500 GT gone and not really missed. It was fun. Documented 13.47 N/A.
