what did you do to your ride today?
Re: what did you do to your ride today?
^ That looks SWEET ^
Crap... it went to the next page.
You should make the lugs and the center caps red.
Almost gives it the classic redline tire look, I like it.

Just curious; I had messaged him a while back and never got around to calling him to set anything up.

he was a funny guy. he said the tires have been sitting up a while but they appear to be in good shape with the exception of the bead leak. i think they will look great once i get them on. i think one of my wheels i have now may be damaged. and of course i couldnt say no to 75 dollars for a set of factory beretta wheels.
gonna clean them up today

Have them dismounted and remounted, so you can get the beads cleaned up and throw on new valve stems too. Nice deal ya got!themadness wrote:he was a funny guy. he said the tires have been sitting up a while but they appear to be in good shape with the exception of the bead leak. i think they will look great once i get them on. i think one of my wheels i have now may be damaged. and of course i couldnt say no to 75 dollars for a set of factory beretta wheels.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
what i did today..........
they need to either be polished or painted. i might do white plastidip once i get the tires straightened out
on a side note when i was changing the back tires i noticed a rubber stopper laying in the channel of the rear springs. i'm sure its some sort of cushion but is it a major problem for it to be laying in the the bottom of the spring?

Those look good! I'd point them towards the front of the car though (how GM thought they should look).
The rubber piece you found is the bump stop. It won't do too much harm not fixing it; you'll have to disconnect both rear shocks and lower the rear axle down to replace that part.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
New ball joint, and passenger side rear control arm bushing on my 96. doesnt vibrate and click and clunk all over anymore, but needs cv shafts soon i have them on order. they are getting sloopy on the inside, i can turn it by hand and feel the play clunkyness in both of them. probably because of the rear control arm bushings on both sides being falling out of it for the past 15,000 KM.
I have a top engine mount to rad support brackets and such from various cars, ive started getting my pieces together and ready to install at least one side once i put the new cv shafts in, i notice the engine has alot of roll or movement i think mainly because of the single top engine mount in the center, it doesnt support it enough.

There is a top mount and a lower dog bone, if you have excessive rotation then check the dogbone thats behind the wheel well splash guards, that may have worn out.
