When it comes to parts for my car. I've been slowly stockpiling stuff for years that i "think" will be hard to find in the future. Mechanical parts will never be impossible to find IMO. Although I do have some put away. There's just tons of different cars (buicks, pontiac,etc) out there that share our drivetrains,steering and suspensions. But the interior and exterior pieces parts are what I like to stash away because most all are specific to L-body's.
And in some ways, there already are no parts cars out there. When I walk salvage yards here, what Beretta's they have are just total piles. Been sitting in the yards forever. Most picked clean of anything desirable...... Seldom do they even come into the yards' anymore.....
