Why doesn't a link to a picture come up when I click on it on the boar

Here's the situation... someone posts a link to a picture on this board to something really neat that he/she feels everyone should see.  You click on that link and get an error message.  You then think the link is wrong and move on.  However, for the most part, that is not the case. Geocities, Tripod, Angelfire, and other free webhosting services do not allow linking outside their domains.  So a link on their domain, such as http://www.geocities.com/...., will work on that site but if you put the link somewhere else, such as this board, it will not work.  To fix that, simply copy and paste the link into the address bar and hit enter. The picture will come up this way.  Hope this helps.:p
