Beretta stereo wire colors.

Post by Guest »

This is for those cases that the factory harness has been chopped off. If it hasn't, then read my other FAQ and buy the proper parts, don't chop off a perfectly good harness.

Orange = Constant Power, or Battery Feed.
Yellow  = Switched Power, or ACC Feed.
Black   = Ground, or -.
Brown  = Parking Lights +
Grey   = Dimmer Ground(variable resistance to ground to control light intensity)

Green = Right front speaker +
Lt. Green = Right front speaker -
Tan = Left front speaker +
Grey = Left front speaker -

Dark Blue = Right rear speaker +
Lt. Blue = Right rear speaker -
Brown = Left rear speaker +
Yellow = Left rear speaker -

Always varify wires with a VOM(volt/ohm meter) as you can see there are 2 Browns, Yellows and Greys, and they all do different things.

** EDIT ** On newer Beretta's, the Yellow switched ACC wire may have turned into a Green/white(green w/ a white stripe). It's been a while since I've looked at a newer Beretta's wiring, but GM started to utilize that color in about '96 on select car's with BCM's.
