Quote (Gert @ Mar. 20 2002,7:15)You're right.... the Mavica doesn't capture the entire range of sound. In the mornings when my engine is still cold there's a whole lotta things rattling along   and it's still a 2.0

It's all good
My dragger acts in similar way too.  IT needs like 5 minute to get warm/hot to lose that tingling sound and drops down to that low bass tone.  I can just imagine the effect doubled with my new Dual set up.

Here is a kit that will fit you 2.2 owners

It's the same one that i ordered

but don't expect to much power out of it , to get the full power you'll need to install headers and High flow cat or just take it off.

another thing , bigger intake and TB will also increase the setup

i would start by getting a ram or cold air intake and bigger TB
and aftermarket intake manifold

The reason why exhaust setups are not first on the list, is because it offers the least amount of gains for the money on a basically stock engine. Generally the more air an engine ingests the more it exhales. So one must address the ability of the car to inhale before you address the ability of it to exhale

I have the very same thing w/ the tin-like sound when it's not warmed up.  once it's warm, smooth and low baby.  I have a 2.2L and I need to get some audio recordings of it.  It's a beast.

It's an RKSports one alright.  Would that setup actually fit the 2.2 Beretta?

the headers are on backorder i bought the whole system
including the headers, and high flow cat !

i checked out my buddy's 97 sunfire with the 2.2 and he's got the same setup as me.

If it doesnt' fit  i can always sell it

it looks like it might, the only thing that may not fit properly, is where it goes over axle....being a prefab, it may be too close to it, but its hard to tell how the curvature of the pipe is.....

How much of a differece would it make to put 2 1/4'' exhaust on my beretta?  My dad has the pipe and the bender and offered to do it...will it be a big improvement for flow or sound?
