Size of my stock gtz rims?

what size are the stock gtz rims? two of my rims leak air and i wanna get a set of new custom rims but i dont know if they are 16x7 or 16x8. there are some sweet camaro rims i could get ahold of if theyre 16x8. i dont have a lot of cash so i cant afford new tires for my new rims... lol. gotta save that income for the tinted windows, stereo, neon and car insurance.

i forgot this too... if anybody knows a place to find z26 rims or would like to donate some that would work too:D ... i love the look of the z26 rims and i cant find any around here

People will disagree and argue with me about this but the actual rim width of GTZ/Z26 rims are 7.5. If anyone has ever mounted and balanced their own tires they might stick up for me. Most everyone else will say 16x7. An 8 inch width will be to wide, the most you can go is 7.5.

Someone on here got a set of Camaro rims off Ebay thinking they would fit...but they dont have to same bolt pattern so don't get them or you'll be stuck in a jam.

my wheels say 16x7 right on the back side of the wheel center.

They ARE 16X7in

Remember, they have an approximately 1/4 in lip on each side, hence the larger reding some people get. Also don't forget that the width is measured across the actual mounting area........that is why the lip isn't included.

Ever try to use a tape measure to get your wheel diameter?? try it sometime.....I bet you get nearly 17inches.....it's for the same reason.

Mine were measured on the inside of the lip. Actually the first wheel wasnt done by me, but i watched the mechanic and sure enough the machine said 7.5, but o well. Not too worried about a half an inch unless i was autocrossing or road racing .

They are 16"x7", no if ands or buts about it. I've measure the GTZ rims at the body shop, I can see how you or your mechanic would get 7.5", but they're 7". Rims are measured in the spot were the tire is mounted.

i got a 7.0" reading when i used the tool to measure rim width when i mounted n balanced my tires n junk.

theyre 16x7.0, plain n simple.

ok guys, thanks... im not gonna bid on the camaro rims now, lol. i think ill just wait until i can find a set of z26 wheels. thanks
