Ticking with clutch in
There is a ticking sound coming from the engine. It's constant when I have the clutch in and fades on and off without the clutch in. Any ideas? I can hear it from inside the car with the window open, but I can't really hear it with the hood open.
Also, how much would a steering rack be to fix?

Well, I kinda answered my own question tonight. I decided to go for a relaxing drive up to Sandia peak(over 10,000ft) at 11pm. I made it up ok, but on the way down, my clutch blew. That was it.

With my clutch pedal let out, there is a distinct ticking, or rattling, which is the throwout bearing, or pilot bearing. My car has just over 140xxx miles so my clutch has done VERY well , and yet its still strong and pretty tight.
