Block was bored .25mm over ready to go, all other parts will be ready Tuesday. That means I get to submit my $2,400 order to FredBeansParts... Oie...

Still scratched from the blown up piston so the .25mm wasnt even enough.

The deck looks like it got something dropped on it Jon. Those are dents. Damn that sucks balls man!

Yup the last picture looks like dents, the first two are a scratch that's quite deep, looks like it was caused by a hone block or something and the third pic looks like something tried to take a chip of the wall almost like the bore tool hit hard there or something.

Going to the machine shop tomorrow morning so we'll see what he has to say. Fist off it needs a larger bore because the marks are still present and I can feel it with my finger nail, and next is it needs to be decked but I'm not too keen on having to run extra thick headgaskets plus I don't think the rebore will clear up the second scratch at the top of the cylinder.

A new bare block is around 900 so if I had to its not going to break me. I'd still have to have the fresh bore checked for STD size forged pistons though to make sure the clearance will be right.

Remember, be nice first, then chew ass. If I had to buy another block, any machining I would want should be free after a major F up like that. Really I think they should buy the block.

And yeah .25mm is only like .010 i believe, the nick looks at least another .003 deep by the pic..

I question that machine shop. Mistakes happen, but failing to inspect the block before handing it back to you is unacceptable.

Good luck with that. Hopefully they own up to their mistakes and make it right with you
