I can see this driving the 'life' in which we keep cars for less. Those of us that dont buy or lease every 3-6 years would likely have to if no cross compatibility/aftermarket support is put in place for the "cell" once production is stopped and the supplier meets its 10 year demands.

Man that has got to be the most expensive 4 liters of oil on the planet.

Unless of course you can refill them yourself, which I doubt.

dont forget diesels that can take buckets full for a typical oil change.
