My brother in law has a Cummins with the 6spd and the torque is unbelievable...and it's a 6 banger! My father in law has an 8.1 gas Chevy and that feels even slower than my 357. haha

Been jumping the big snow bank at work the last few days...so I brought the GoPro today and got video. It came out pretty sweet!

Also hauled yet ANOTHER junk Cuda for the old man. What a pain in the ass. When it takes a loader to get it on the trailer that should be the first sign to run. Had to chain it to his truck and drive the trailer out from under it.

Looks like there is a good amount of small and trim pieces still attached to that car even though it's shot to say the least...

I would have just tied the strongest part of that car to a tree and then just drove off... It would have slid right off the trailer... Screw the wheel dolly's... LOL

We tried hooking it to the other junk car and it just pulled that car too. So we hooked it to his truck sideways in P in 4WD with the ebrake on. Without the dollies my truck might have been stuck in the snow.

He paid $2000 and says he'll get $4000 out of it and keep the 4spd and posi rear for free. I guess we'll see.

I told Tiffany it's too bad we don't still have her Subaru to try the snowbank now that I've blazed the trail. She just gave me a dirty look. haha

I made another snow video. Got it BURIED this time. Broke a tow strap trying to get it out...had to snow blow around it and shovel out the 2-3ft of snow it was stuck on top of...haha The snow bank was about the same height, maybe a little taller, but probably twice as deep. We had another 8" that got plowed right into the last snow bank, and behind the pile it had the extra 8" too. I figured it would get stuck...but I had to give it a shot. I thought it would have gotten stuck the last time but it went through it like nothing. haha Now I have a 30,000lb recovery strap for the next time I want to get stupid.

I broke the grille and turn signals in the snow, so I fixed my busted grille with some Gorilla tape and tinted some new turn signals. I tinted the stock corners and cut the light socket out of the black ones and wired in bulbs. I like the look. Have more tint on the way for the headlights, and planning on an 3000k HID upgrade so I can still see. Thinking I should probably do the 4-hi mod too.

don't be an ass and HID halogen housings... it's a big no no with the way they spread light. HID's are meant for projector housings only. No comment on the tinting headlights idea... :fool:

There are other guys who have done it and they say it's not bad. The other option is to modify the plug for the 9006 bulbs to use a 9005. So for low beam I'll have a tinted high beam bulb, and for high beam I'll have both high beam bulbs.

This is one of the guys who has done it. And these are quite a bit darker...

How do they know its not bad? Have they been an oncoming driver to their own vehicle before? That's what I'm referring to.

Info from a pretty reputable site about HID retrofit kits.

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech ... sions.html

I'm just referring to the HID's in the lights.... The tinting of the light itself is another story.

They say the light output isn't bad through the tint. And the glare is probably all subjective on their part.

The 9005 bulb may be a better way to go since it's more light, but it is still halogen. Definitely cheaper too! haha

HID kits are like 30-40 bucks on Ebay - just saying.

they also don't have to ride around with the a-hole behind them who had to put hid's in regular housings.. go ride around in a regular car with one of these guys behind you.

Like $52 shipped for low beams only from DDM, which seems to be the most recommended. I probably have some 9005s kicking around for free.

HID's need a clear outer lense and a proper projector to function properly.

the Prior owner of my SC300 thought it was a good idea to just JBweld the HID bulbs to the housing. needless to say, i couldnt see anything and it was garbage.

i bought new projectors and bulbs and retrofitted them into my factory housings. ony required a bit of dremel work and they work amazing. i never turn on my hi beams as their is no need to.

pic of the parts, dremeled housing is in the center.
