Post by bettinabeck »

hi, my names bettie. i'm from milwaukee, wi & i own a 93 beretta 3.1l v6 base trim with about 133,000 miles on it. it's my first car, i've had it for about 6 months now & i absolutely LOVE it , unfortunately she keeps dying on me
i wish i had some pictures to put up, the body is extremely nice for being a wi car.

but anyways, i'd love to meet you guys & see your berettas!

Hey another milwaukee person. I am also from milwaukee. What color is your beretta? Mine had the same exact problem when i had it kept dying but then i had the map sensor replaced and a coil pack and it was perfectly fine after.

Yea i had the coil pack replaced because there was barely spark in cylinder 3 but also check all your vacuum hoses. That was also my problem there was a small vacuum hose that was starting to corrode so there was a tiny hole in it.

No problem. Just check the vacuum hoses first before the coil pack.

welcome, is the car stalling out as your driving like when your coasting to stop? you might have a locked up tcc solenoid.

I'm only 5 mins from the wisconsin border in Rockton, IL :P

Could be a stuck TCC. Try unplugging the square 4 pin connector located on the radiator side of the trans near the starter housing. If you look near the air filter you should be able to see it when removed.
