RSM Supercharger, $800 eBay

Post by whiteretta »

As quoted by the seller when I emailed them about details:

"It's got a high speed bearing on the high, side, and good shielded bearing on the belt side, steel belt pulley, and i have 2 support brackets on the belt side to keep to keep the shaft from flexing when making boost, every thing is there including the original installing disk, at most all you will need is a couple fitting to install the oil lines. there is enough air pipe to run a intercooler, and all kinds of silicone couplers"

Those kits need more than a bearing upgrade to make them reliable.. but if anyone buys it and wants a water to air intercooler setup let me know, I'll most likely be selling mine.

I read your whole thread on yours... Made me think twice before making an offer on it, as much as I've always wanted one of these myself!

Yes, those are very poorly designed for the drive shaft... The best thing you could do is buy this kit and mount it where the AC compressor is or the alternator and move that down below.... Remove the shaft from the design, but this is a big head unit so it may not fit in either location.

If anything, at least the price is right and he does have it set up as "make offer" as well. I think if I ever boosted mine, I'd go turbo instead though.

The price is actually ok since the blower is worth about that much, and from what I have measure the v9 unit won't fit in the AC compressor location, but its possible.

So I decided to make an offer on it, if the price was right I could just let it sit on the shelf while gradually over time I could prepare everything...

I may have gotten the setup for $560...
