I've got a 50 dollar ebay muffler with a silencer too.  Theres also no cat and I added a resonator to make it a little more civil.  Coolest sounding car me and my friends have heard.  Quad 4's are sweet!

Jesus tits!  Do you ever find that you have small animals or a family of immigrants living in your coffee can mufflers?

Haha never had anything living in them.  And the tips are a solid piece of the muffler so there not going to get stolen.  And they sound like the ordinary 3100 with no cat.

Quote (Berettacrazy88 @ Jan. 07 2004,20:21)I have a cheap chrome muffler. Straight through design. Sounds just like a regular glasspack. Also came with removable silencer just in case those dam cops get on my case. Got it off ebay for 50 bucks. I got it because it was chrome. Never can have to much chrome.
i dunno bout that statement...when its blinding to look at your car in the daylight, then i think its too much

I managed to get a Ravin muffler,  the muffler shop guy tried to tell me they don't make them for our cars,  but i went to the Ravin muffler website and found one, fits stock exhaust coming in and has dual outs, just what I wanted,  and it sounds awesome not a super loud obnoxious sound either, kinda deep everyone loves it. The guy that installed it didn't even want to give me my car back!!

I put a Magnaflow on with the stock cat and it sounded great. I made the mistake of putting a Dynomax high flow cat on before leaving California. Now, when the car is cold and I get on it, it makes a popping sound from the muffler. I am going to put a generic cat back on and squirrel the high flow cat away somewhere in the garage....for a very long time.

I think the muffler shop guy was referring to the size of the stock exhaust not matching up with any ravin mufflers with dual outs,   sorry for the misinterpretation.  They were actually pretty cool.  Got to love the Midas touch!!

Quote (98beretta kid @ May 26 2002,21:25)I had a Cherry bomb Turbo II but the neighbors were complaining so i went to muffler man for a whole new 2.5" exhaust.
All I can say is that if the neighbors don't like it, then F### EM!

As far as exhaust, home made headers, 3 inch pipe, ATR straight-through muffler, no cat.
