muffler
3.1 v6.
Where is the most efficient mounting location for a muffler to not lose performance. No cat on it and the pipe dumps right behind the drivers seat:
*closer to the exhaust manifolds?
*closer to the end of the exhaust pipe?
*somewhere in the middle?
*doesn't matter
Thanks.

the shorter the pipe the lower the back pressure the higher the horsepower but torque suffers. I know that a certain amount of back pressure is required for scavenging, but I don't know any of the formulas or what not to figure it out, search Google, there has got to be some place where you can find the info.
