93 Beretta missing stuff

Post by mike8668 »

My friend brought over her 93 Corsica to look at her exhaust... Not much to look at because muffler completely gone...
I can't find a good representation to see what the brackets are SUPPOSED to look like... Gmpartsdirect diagrams were less than helpful
Can someone supply me with a picture or link to of the front and rear muffler brackets?

Haven't had any luck there.. There list the p/n for the muffler, which i bought. Also lists the rubber donut hangers but not the hangers/brackets front and rear.. All that's left under the car is the mounting brackets on the body... The pieces of the hangers that actually bolt to muffler have been sheared off... I've seen the brackets with the rubber strap material but have no idea what else is there out how they fit together

I see these hangers.. Do they just hook in rods that are supposed to be there??

No brackets are really used. It's a rubber ring attached to a steel hanger then the exhaust has a metal rod welded in place and bent to hook to the rubber.. Most places weld new steel hangers to better choice metal if the factory spot is deteriorated where it was affixed on the chassis.
