Goodyear Eagle F1 tires

Post by Asylum »

I have one that went bad. 225/50/16
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3
Only ones available are 245/50/16 and I'm guessing they won't fit the front.
Will they fit the rear?. Maybe with a big hammer?
Thanx

You are correct on the front. They may fit in the rear, but I think they are too big(if I remember right).

The 245 part will fit the front with the right wheels but it's probably a little too tall for the spring perch. Your putting these on stock wheels?

If you purchased tires a few years back from the tire sale at Tirerack i believe in 2007 those were an old design anyhow. I screwed up one of mine and went back to Tirerack in 2008 and have one of the updated tires.

The design changed a bit but they do make F1 GS

GTZ wheels.
These were bought back in 2006 when they were on sale for 100 bucks.
They just don't make 225's anymore.
Damn shame. Three of them are 75% and the one is shot!!
Not even due to alignment. It's worn out evenly all the way across.
I'd buy 2 245's if I thought they would fit the rear

A stagger on a FWD? It might not be hugley noticeable just less than an inch wider. The track width in the rear is narrower...so it would probably fit with rolled fender lips. It is 40mm wider than anything the General put under these cars, though...

you'll regret ditching them gtz wheels man, kinda destroys the origanality of the car really... personally, i think the gtz wheels are what make the gtz.

Sorry Ryan!!

Forgot about the recalcitrant For Sale rules.

Obviously no one on here has any idea what a white GTZ wheel looks like.

How silly of a pathetic old man.

:P

P.S. Speedy you DO have a point, and it's not the one on the top of your tin-foil hat

There is nothing wrong with mis matched tires on a car. There is not a single tire that is specificlly designed to work on a beretta. Its all in your head.

Replace the front 2 and move on, you will never notice a difference. :O:

It's the fact that I'm a Goodyear guy and they all have to match.
It's NOT a performance or handling thing.
Just the looks.
And keeping everything consistent.

OK I have given up trying to find one.

What is the best tire on the market right now for my Quad?

Doesn't have to be Goodyear.

Need your thoughts guys.

225/50 ZR 16 (The Z matters!)

Price isn't a big issue on this car, but let's be serious, LOL!

Thanx
