Maxium aspect ratio with 17in rims

Post by Berettas#1 »

Maxium aspect ratio with 17in rims that will not scrape my car is not lowered. I know the width has to be 225 but I cant handle the 40s I have on it now. I feel every little bumb in the road and I found a good deal on 55s but I think that might be to big. So if you have any idea please help me out.

Typically most people here use 225/45/17. 55's definitely won't fit.

Hell I feel every little bump in the road the way mine are now.... lol It has always been a stiff ass ride. But got to love the way it corners because of it!

Ya I figured the 55s were to much thanks. But do you think 50s are also thats what my 16s were before? And I do love the grip of what I have now but I live in Montana so driving anywhere without slamming into potholes is pretty hard.

225/50 will be close to the front strut, but may clear

Note you're speedo will now read lower and your odometer will also count slower if you go with a larger tire.

So would 225/40/18 be OK? Does anyone have a pic of a lowered z26 with that size tire? Or any Beretta I guess?

Fit yes... Its 25.1" so its barely larger than stock, probably less speedo error than there is simply with how the needle is set... But you need to ensure you have the right offset for your rims and the proper width so you don't hit your spring perch. Rotors look TINY with 18's btw... and the ride has to be horrendous... its bad enough with some 17" rims.

What is the best width and offset for that size?

Stock width is 7" and stock offset is 42mm IIRC... Don't go any higher of an offset because then you'll touch the perch, if you want 7.5" rims then you may need to get a 35mm-38mm offset, but be aware that they will now possibly rub the outside of the tire against the rear inner fenders and need to have them rolled.

Lip Sizes:N/A
Bolt Patterns Available:5x100
Offset:42mm
Center Bore:73.1

Will it work?
