89 5 speed rattle

Post by lmnjlo »

With the car off, clutch in, changing through the gears, it seemed as though I heard some clinging. Like a washer loose or something. Car shifts fine, nice and smooth, no issues...just curious if it's a prelude to something...such as needing custom cables or something to sell my right nut for?

Every 5-speed owner should have custom cables... There are enough of you guys to get some group buy going but no one has contacted anyone about it.

I am not entirely sure if they'd work, but have you tried looking into using Quad 4 Beretta shift/select cables?

Been meaning to compare and try it myself, but at the moment, the car is not broke and the spare cables remain in test theory. lol
