Low Battery In Reverse

Post by captainretard »

Everytime i Put my 92 3.1 auto in reverse the voltage/battery metter would drop below 1/4.  Also, I was blowing the blinker 20 amp fuse constantly.  Well i put a 25 amp fuse in and it only blows once a week now(I know bad idea).

But this weekend I replaced my reverse light bulbs and now no voltage/battery problems! (I still have yet to replace the 25 amp fuse with the 20 amp for the turn signal).

Just thought I should post for others who might be having the same problem.

Sorry for the blue text....  I tried to fix it

You might want to make sure no corrosion is eating away at the wires for that socket. I would take the bulb out, clean the socket out with a "Q" tip and some PB Blaster, then apply some dielectric grease in the socket and wipe off the connection end of the bulb  then reassemble everything.
