I know the firewall and center column are going in.  I'd like the whole thing to go in as it is pretty light weight and ridged.  But I don't think it would fit through the door opening...not unless I went in underneath.    There is a pic of what is left of the frame and check the resin surround the balsa wood floor.

man cant believe this is really happenin but doesnt suprise me that it would be norm as it shows that he has the motivatiion to make it work. GREAT JOB NORM keep up the (fast) good work.

I have the chasis sitting on the rolling gear and in the processes of mating the upper control arms to the chasis.  More "R" of R&D recently and delays due to Easter and breavement time for a grandparent.  But I am back and on track.

I was hopeing to mount the upper control arm to the shock tower wall but the Beretta's rails that run the length of the car are much farther apart than the C5 donor.  The independent suspension takes up allot of room.  So I did some cutting of the fender wheel as you can see in the pics of the trunk inside how far they'll be sitting.  I'll have to remove the spring, wheel, and sway bar to allow the double A-arm to move into position for final mounting.  The height of the rear wheel is where the C5 is stock and it is turn of bolt/nut to drop the fender more than a half inch closer.  If you look head-on at the wheel the knuckle should be straight up and down but is canted to the rear due to the spring and sway bar.  I finally figured out how that the knuckle should be straight up in done for about one inch of travel, then negative camber as it is compressed.  Just a plumb bob on a string away.  Remember this tire is almost an inch wider than stock and probably will not need the width for road course days.

wow, that wheel position is pretty damn good, if you rolled out the fender just a hair, it'd be dead on nuts. Awesome

I think some GTU/Indy gfx would add the needed depth to the body to make everything look right at home.

I am thinking the same.  The stock front air damn at the bottom really curves inward exposing the tire.

Not too low is it?  The upper control arm is mounted on the front and I took the front down to as low as it will go just to see the effects on camber.  I got the wheel centered on both sides and you can see by the plumb-bob in the rear the wheel should be on center inside of the wheel well.  Not too concerned about the rears sticking out but the front after readjusting the toe and some negative camber, it has a few degrees positive, should only be out about an inch or so.  I got the fronts to mount right to the shock tower today.  Tomorrow I will work on the rears.

talk to gordo, make a widebody kit, or just extend the fenders a bit and try and keep as sleeper as possbile.

heh, damn. Perhaps a custom wheel could help? With a different offset? And skinnier wheel/tire for the front.. That and GTU gfx might be enough to tame it down some to a reasonable look.

Yeah i think you should use skinnier tires and rims at the front, if you have room.
