Post by Guest »

Im taking a trip this friday for some body pices few switches, and maybe a few other pices.

First off im runing a 92' 3.1 auto retta.

I would like to get better heads, headers, cam ( altho i may order this from CC) I know there are a few eng. tha i can swap parts. So any ideas on few part i should look for?

Good condition dash, door panals, and rear panals?

Sway bars off GTU or Z26.

96+ heads and up top end off 3100/3400...or compleate engine..$$$.

IF its the SSEi superchaged 3.8..with all the the bells and whitles like alternator, power steering pump, SUPERCHARGER and what nots...then I'd consider a engine swap...and spend the rest on engine mounts.

But if you want cheap/cheap. Grab the 1.6 ratio rocker arms from a 94-95 chevy beretta 3100. Ours come stock with 1.5 ratio. Making a ram air setup would be grovvvy.

You might want to drop the tranny if your going to do any engine work and install a shift kit.

3400 Hello

Whats the best year and car to look for? by that mean the one that has most in common.

I have any auto anyone doen this yet, how easy is it?

I have an old 96 (i think) bonniville SSE with no motor, think the 3.1 will fit init? If so i can sell it and buy racing parts

You could do the 3.1MPFI direct bolt in swap, but you could also go the extra short mile & do a minor mod 3400SFI swap and gain the modern look, tech, reliablitiy, PERFORMANCE etc etc.....

Do a search on "3400 SWAP" on here.
