Finally - A BERETTA OWNER ONCE MORE! :)

Post by DanteGTZ »

Long story short on my Beretta history - I started out with a 1990 GT 3.1/5spd as my first car - I found Beretta.net back in 1999. The GT's engine block cracked at ~175k on it and in 2000 I found a 93 Quasar GTZ for sale in Montana. I loved the car and owned it until 2005. Foolishly I sold the GTZ after buying an SRT-4 new in '05. I never saw my old GTZ again - I searched - I even CarFax'd the VIN hoping for a lead as to who had it or where it was... nothing...

Fast forward to last month. After a long search, I found another GTZ...

This is what I spent my weekend picking up... a SWEET 1993 Q4 GTZ! This thing is in great condition! I had to drive 1300+ miles round trip to pick it up in Wisconsin, but the trip was totally worth it! I'll not be making the same mistake I made with my previous 93 Quasar GTZ - I'm older and wiser now - I'm hanging onto this car forever! :) It needs the motor reassembled and installed, but it's all there - It feels like I got my old car back - I can't believe it!!! In a way I felt bad for buying it because I know how much the seller loved the car but at least he knows it went to someone who will absolutely respect and take care of the car - Plus he'll always know it's safe because I'll never get rid of it.

LOL! Altough - My previous 93 didn't have a speed limiter...?? Rev, yes; Speed, no. IIRC, Chris88CL clocked me on GPS doing ~130mph or so. I wonder if the 1993 SCX W41 memcal I had in it removed the limited if there was one? :unknown:

Quads are limited to ~140MPH, However not that easy to reach that limiter.

More pics - I don't think I'll get a chance to get it off the trailer until this weekend when I've got some more time/daylight. Upon very close inspection, it does appear that it was been repainted, or at least touched up as there are a couple spots of Quasar paint on misc seals, etc. Still, it is in very nice shape for the age!

Very nice Beretta. It looks to be in very good condition. As I was scrolling down I was expecting the blue interior but still very nice. How is the dashboard any bubbling?

I recently bought my first beretta. seeing as I just turned 18 I wanted to graduate from the lame minivan I once drove. I now own a 1992 beretta gt w26. in immaculate shape. and I am in love with it. I have some money coming and it will be going into my beretta. I have 2 10in and a single 15 im going to try to squeeze in the trunk with a deh 4400 hd pioneer stereo. no amp tho. :/ after I accomplish that its on to body mods.

Yeah, my old 93 GTZ had the blue interior; I wouldn't have minded if this one was blue, but I do prefer the gray interior.

As for the dash, it's virtually perfect - Again, as good as could be expected for a 20 year old car.
