STEERING WHEEL

Post by 96/z26 »

Does anyone have a steering wheel for my z26? my airbag is fine, its just that the leather is worn pretty bad etc.

Does anyone have one in new condition?

Cheers!

Ron

i would think that car-part.com should be able to track one down for a lot less than that

That's going to be an epic quest to find a good (used) condition '91-'93 GTZ leather wheel off of car-part.com. Hats off to you if you accomplish such a feat.

(Assuming you swapped a wheel from a GTZ into your Z26? With the seams at 3, 6, and 9 'o' clock?)

Considering they (Z26's) didn't come with leather originally... lol

Ace, there are some that might not know the history as well as you or I. Those faux leather stitches get confusing. ;)

I have 2 good ones, but none in new condition. I HAD a leather one, but I sold it last fest. One off the base should work for you, but you might want to find one off of someone in Canada first, or check with some yards.

You just want one that's not all worn right? The one on the base is decent. I plan to keep the one on the Z. Its too nice.

I thought '91 was the only leather airbag steering wheel and only on the GTZ
