CorvetteBeretta's ride thread
Hey what's up all its been a while since I been on this site (5 years ish) I just got my Beretta home after 3-4 years of sitting outside Now its time to fix her up here is the list of mods:
88 GT 5SPD
Body:
full body kit I don't remember what brand blitz style I think (door panels and skirts molded onto car)
FX designs fenders
Phantom top (which I plan to remove)
BMW headlights (angel eyes)
Corvette Tail lights
GTZ grill molded to kit
Had 20" chrome rims, now crappy nothings
Side marker lights filled in
Interior
APC racing seats
Full 96 Z26 interior
Momo shift boot (still Good)
custom short shifter
Auto meter big tach
Pillar pod with air fuel/Coolant temp both autometer
Drivetrain
2.8L MPFI fully built
3.1 block board 30 over
Comp Cam, timing chain, lifters, push rods and valve springs
Crane rocker rollers
Balanced and blue printed
Port and polished
Upper and lower intake gasket matched
TB board out to match the over sized plenum
MSD coil pack
8mm msd plug wires
Other things:
Center force clutch
Cavi brake upgrade with drilled and slotted rotors
Cavi strut brace
Lumina rad to strut tower braces
Suspension Technics lowering springs a 1.6 drop if I remember
Full custom exhaust 2.25" to flow master muffler one in duel out
I'm planning on "trying" to fix her up as best as I can, I see now a lot of parts are unavailable ie. weather stripping. I was planning on selling then my father took his own life and he was the one who taught me how to do body work when we built this, so now it has some sentimental value.
Now I'm back on the beretta scene again LOL, I will post up some pics as soon as I post enough
I'm getting the car road worthy for summer here is my master list
change LIM due to crack
94 dash swap with 88 digital cluster **complete**
rear brakes (drum for now) and ebrake cables
new plug wires plus coil pack (fix plug arc)**complete**
new CIA
New fuel filter
power steering pump
fix my coolant temp problem**complete**
new carpet
finish interior swap**complete**
shifter rebuild kit
here are my recent pics
bad cluster
body work needed!
What a MESS!!

That CAI is fine, just don't need that by-pass(or whatever it's called) on the TB. If you have a K&N it's not going to suck in water.
A nice low key(not shocking) color and the kit should look nice. Bit over the top for me, but hey why not.

The cai is made out of 3" steel exhaust pipe its heavy and now I see how u can run it in front of the batteryMoney pit Beretta wrote:That CAI is fine, just don't need that by-pass(or whatever it's called) on the TB. If you have a K&N it's not going to suck in water.

Also its not a bypass coming off the tb its a silicone coupler I will take a close up pic later
As for the color it used to be a nice flat black but 3 years of sitting outside fadded it

Really? Thought for sure that was a Transgenic CAI. Styluss bought that company and now makes the CAI's and WAI's.
WOW, sure looks like back primer. Ouch!

Man that still looks like a by-pass connecter. Ever get an oil smell with that breather?
That engine looks very nice, one of the best 2.8/3.1's I've seen!

No smell that I've noticed.. Everything except the top manifold is a 3.1 I just liked the way I finished this one so I used the 2.8 topMoney pit Beretta wrote:Man that still looks like a by-pass connecter. Ever get an oil smell with that breather?

Re: 88 Beretta GT (underground pics)
I had a cheap breather on my 90GT and smelled oil at every stop. With the Styluss CAI on the 95 there is no longer a problem.
Sure like the shock factor:"Really? That is just a 2.8?"

Re: 88 Beretta GT (update) getting ready for summer
I'm getting close to being road worthy. I can't wait to get it painted and insured.
-fixed all non working gauges
-finished led cluster
-mounted 88 cluster in 94 dash
-replaced icm / coil packs
-new plug wires / plugs
-new o2 / oil pres. sensors
Still need to
-lim gasket + paint lower intake
-install new dash
-service injectors
-upgrade Cai
-fix body damage
-Install led trunk light, under hood light, foot well lights and plate lights
Here is my plenum turned out nice I just have to buff the top then clear it

Re: 88 Beretta GT (update) getting ready for summer
Thanks man..I have no set color picked out yet my bro is starting his own paint company so he will paint it for free as long as I put his company decals on my side windows. I was kind of thinking black base with green and gold pearl.
