Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
Spent some more money on the pig... Picked up a brand new ACDelco fuel pickup assy on ebay and to go with that I picked up a new Walbro F20000169 pump to go in that pickup. I'm making sure the fuel system is perfect before leaving this year... lol
I don't think I'll be swapping the converter beforehand because of the lack of drag racing interest this year... If no one wants to go it's not worth my time to install it and potentially have it not work right and need to come out before the event again... I have enough work to do to the Indy and I don't need that backfiring on me.

Hmm mine are a bit warm but are probably working fine due to the gap being around .022-.0253X00-Modified wrote:Tyler has TR6IX plugs, and I put TR7IX plugs in mine to be safe... Id rather clean a fouled plug than have to replace another melted one... I'll bring the TR6IX's with me. TR8IX is another option for 3 ranges colder than stock.

Out of curiosity what are your plugs gapped to? Does nitrous cause alot of spark blowout?

Factory gap for that plug, I think it's .030 or .035. I don't believe nitrous blowout is as bad with my 100 shot, things may change with the direct port in the future.

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
All of my fuel system stuff is showing up today... It will be very odd to be able to work on, setup and ready a full fuel pickup assembly with a new Walbro pump and not stink of gas afterwards... Everything is new!

Smells minty fresh... Not like gas... LOL
Such a simple swap, take bucket off, remove pump, insert Walbro, put back in, Connect adapter wires and put bucket back on... DONE.
Now I just need to install it in the tank. Also putting back my Aeromotive AFPR setup and hoses to replace the stock components.

Fuel pump/pickup swapped... Re-installed AN fuel lines and Aeromotive AFPR and it fired right up with no leaks at least I know my fuel system will be up for the ride this year... Now I just need to double check everything else lol.

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
LOL Thanks for picking on something that has NEVER given me an issue... lol
The starter was one that I rebuilt a while ago... one of the small dudes and has never hiccuped once.. The charging system well that hasn't given me any issues either but I think it may be time to change the main power wire from the alt... But it doesn't have to be done by bfest. The end at the battery is just starting to look a bit ugly... Might be able to disguise it with a piece of heat shrink tho.

I dont want to see all your hard effort to be roadblocked by something as such. That would not be cool.

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
So my tool collection is continuing to grow...
I've come a long way... 2011
Things to come soon... 1" bore master cylinder
Test Rev-Max converter I got over a year ago for lockup working again, OR go to 2750 factory stall converter.
New NA times with newer converter
New Nitrous times with proper spark plugs

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
Nice! That support fixture looks identical to my OTC one aside from the color.
