2.0 Turbo
Re: 2.0 Turbo
Yeah I saw a few "universal" ones but I haven't seen one specifically for a 3x00.

Re: 2.0 Turbo
Here's the kit Slinky mentioned, it's one hell of a good deal too.

Re: 2.0 Turbo
That isn't bad and it should work with a 3500 right

Re: 2.0 Turbo
2011+ Chevy Malibu and Buick Regal also come with The 2.0 Turbo Ecotec. If I were to buy a totalled Malibu it would come all the necessary parts for the swap; wiring harness, engine, trans etc. Am I over simplifying this? What exactly is need for a flawless swap? I have a 96 base BTW.
Re: 2.0 Turbo
Yes it should work for a 3500, but you'll max out those 42lb injectors quick.

What size injectors would you recommend?

I'm an auto supercharged car, but i maxed out 42lb injectors below 300whp

Yeah I'm trying to make somewhere between 300 and 325 maybe 350. How did you build your trans to handle the forced induction?

Re: 2.0 Turbo
We've determine that would be in an electrical nightmare and for the cost to do the swap you can build a 3x00 turbo buildLazaroag wrote:2011+ Chevy Malibu and Buick Regal also come with The 2.0 Turbo Ecotec. Re: 2.0 Turbo
What trans do you plan on using?
Your TQ and how it hits plays a huge role in how long your trans will hold up.
General things to upgrade if it's an auto is:
Vacuum modulator, better fluid, external trans cooler, shim the accumulators, better clutches, better 3rd apply piston.
If you look up the "Mr pink" build on this forum and go thru it you'll eventually find what Jon did to his trans, which is what I would do.

I plan on using the 4T60E. (I think that's the right code)

Re: 2.0 Turbo
Triple edge performance are really the only company I know that sells modified 4t60e transmissions, other than that local shops would most likely be able to do the mods I listed above, that I listed is what mine has done and it's held up to 308whp and 368lbft TQ for awhile now.

Re: 2.0 Turbo
Thanks for the info I checked out triple edge and the Mr.Pink thread. Triple edge doesnt have much in the way of the 4t60e but has more for the 4t65e are there any real differences between the two that should be considered?

Re: 2.0 Turbo
65E is bigger, has mount differences, requires some electrical rework, and uses different axles.
60E is pretty straight forward as the Beretta came those, but still requires some changing around to make it slip in. Definitely easier when compared to the 65E
