z26 trim

Post by pghz26 »

i have a 95 z26 and the trim on the door is faded (not the body kit the door trim). does anyone know how to take it off and how it is held on. will there be those little holes if i decide to take it off and leave it off?

Its all 3M double sided foam tape... I used a body filler spreader to get under it and pull it up on one edge then just pulled it off. It left a big strip of foam and adhesive so I used 3M general purpose adhesive remove and it got it all off without damaging the paint.

They are not held on by bolts or clips so there will be no holes.

The easiest way to get them off is with some heat. If you do it right you wont leave any adhesive behind... worked great on mine.
