Did you get a custom T mount made for the side motor mount? I'm about to get one made if you need one let me know I will have it cut out for you

I approve of this swap!

And Shawn is right, your axle alignment will be off if you're using a T-bone from an auto. And the hole for the lower dog bone on the engine side needs to be drilled 1" ahead.

Here are some pics of what I'm talking about.

Are you sure that we will need to drill the dogbone mount? Ours are already 5 speeds..

Dont you have to use the lower bracket from an auto 3x00? I've never seen the 92+ lower bracket for quads but I assumed it was a different piece than the ones that bolt to 3100 oil pans.

Hold up . Duh me. I swapped to 92subframes so yeah I will have to drill probably. Since the OP is probably using his original subframes I don't know if he has to

I believe 92+ subframe is same v6/quad, but I would doubt the lower engine bracket is.

It's all in the engine bracket. No "M" hole on the 3100 version.

I am sorry if I jacked the thread but is it possible that I have used the wrong dogbone mount when doing the 5 speed swap on my 1991? Or is this a 1994+ problem

It's a 92+ problem, more specifically the 94-96's due to the lack of a manual trans offering with the V6.

If you swapped all mounts over on a 91 from auto to manual, you'll be fine. If not, you'll bust axles VERY soon after you start driving... ask me how I know...

Finally got to drive it..i was :D all the time!! Lots of power!! EVERYWHERE!! Definitely worth the effort. Also dropped it off at my local muffler shop and had them make a downpipe, sounds really good!!! (Quad 4 was WAY louder on the same muffler) Other than a really bad surging issue i have all is good. Still running stock 3100 tune.

I need to properly hookup the vac lines. Anyone have a diagram on how to route the lines and what to connect where? Especially since i kept the 3500 upper manifold. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!
