CLUTCH ISSUES? Please help!
Re: CLUTCH ISSUES? Please help!
What he said... But, when bleeding the hydraulics, if you end up removing the entire assembly from the car, make sure to keep the reservoir elevated above the master and slave cylinders (it needs to be the highest component), also make sure it is either level or with the hose from it at the bottom (just to keep the air in the reservoir away from being sucked into the hose). Keep an eye on the fluid-level in the reservoir too, as it could drop down to the point where you are sucking air in (doubtful -your hydraulics aren't THAT empty, but just as a matter of practice...). Some of the older slave-cylinders also had a bleeder port with an Allen-Head screw at the top, next to the hydraulic line... Another bright idea lost to the ravages of 'lets save a dime'...woody90gtz wrote:Reverse does not have a synchro is these trans. And I would bleed the hydraulics and check the select cable before disassembling.
There should be a reservoir by the shock tower for the clutch master. Fill it with brake fluid to the line and bleed it. Unhook the clutch pedal rod, then remove the slave from the bellhousing and pump the rod until you get no more bubbles at the reservoir.
