That's what is objectionable.  Putting GTU decals not on a GTU.  Oh, also the "U" is for 3 litres and under.  3.1/3100s need not apply ÂÂÂ

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH excuse me for the misconception, maybe i should throw some sand in my oil to shave off my .1 liter just because i can't find or afford a GTU doesn't mean i can't do everything in my power to make my BASE a GTU. No i'm not swaping in a 2.8 and i can do whatever i want to my car, i'm tired of people telling me "you don't have a gtu so don't badge it". I respect everyone's opinions but this is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly see no reason he can't put GTU decals on his base because he is making it look like a GTU.
Although FYI "3100 Sequential FUEL injection".
EDIT --- Sara will need the measurements for those decals. Height and Width.

I don't really care what you do, I was just pointing out that's why people probably objected that idea.

You were the one being childish and it happened again in this thread dude. Someone tells you why its a poor idea and all of a sudden your vagina turns into a sandbox.

Um kinda dumb question, but why cant you just get them painted on? thats what i was going to do to my Indy before the motor went south and so did the money.

Mainly just because to get them paited on and be accurate, it takes someone very talented (and therefore very expensive), while the vinyl decals can be had or recreated for under $150.
If somebody knows how to, make a picture of the GTU lettering, with the wording below it and everything, and then we can definitely have them recreated. It needs to be a specifically drawn picture with as high a resolution as possible though, not just a photograph of a car.
The Cack had originals a while ago, I'm not sure if he still does though.
