Where do you recommend I look then, if those tables are basically useless?

well, that list of tables isn't showing either VE table(there is a main table and idle table) or anything that might be implied as such....

These two graphs are the ones I could find that have RPM vs kPa.

Also; transmission tuning?
I'd like my shifts closer together, it seems the final gear is almost useless under full throttle. I just want full use out of all of them.

Something I found on Moates.net, does this have any merit as well?

i wouldn't know if that TDF has accurately labeled tables or not.....whiteretta wrote:Also; transmission tuning?

also, shifting into 4th at WOT sounds like a good way to tear up your average 4T60E.
for the iron-head 60V6, maybe. i wouldn't recommend a similar course of action with a gen2/3 without serious planning and careful evaluation. more advance is not always better.whiteretta wrote:Something I found on Moates.net, does this have any merit as well?

4th should never be used at WOT... It's TWO friction plates and very little piston pressure... NOT meant to be used during heavy acceleration, If anything do the calculating to find out what MPH you want the Torque converter to lock... That would provide a "4th" type gear if it locked in third at WOT... Still not the best and I doubt you would really use it often other than to speed obnoxiously on the highway and endanger your life as well as the others around you

with a 3100 W-body 4T60E(3.33 FDR) and 26.3" tall tires, 3rd gear at 6000RPM is...... 141MPH.
i don't know what tire sizes are common on berettas, but for 94, a 2.97 final drive is used.... changing nothing else, that is now 158MPH in 3rd at 6000.
even without 4th gear, those are some tall aspirations.

What would be a good way to start tuning the transmission so I get more out of it? I want to get the most out of it as I can, if that makes enough sense.
All charts for the transmission are uploaded below -

every one of those tables has noticable issues..... the 100% row on all of them indicate that the tables are offset from reality.
the kickdown stuff doesn't make sense either...

the problem is the TDF.... there are a LOT of obvious errors in it.
grab tunerpro, the P66 V6 XDF(i uploaded the newest version to gearhead-efi, for some reason 60V6 isn't allowing new file uploads in the downloads section) and then load the BIN you pulled from your car..... things will make a lot more sense.

I made the 100% TPS match the 93.8% TPS. I also viewed them all as graphs, and they all had areas where the graphs didn't flow very well so I gave each of them more of a smooth transition.
I'll put this tune in the ECM on Sunday and see what it does.

are you doing this with whatever TDF you're pulling screenshots from?
