Bfest 2015

Post by themixer »

Had a great time met great people! After being to some car clubs/meets I didn't know what to expect. Cannot wait to go again next year!

Again a big thanks to everyone that planned the meet, very well organized. BBQ at the picnic was Fantastic ! I respect anyone that will travel with a smoker to an event.

I didn't take much for photos mostly as I was distracted by non-rusty berettas. Don't mind my thumb in half of them.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like a successful 'Fest. Who would have guessed the 'Roadside Repair Award" would have gone to Jon?? Looking forward to seeing more photos, and hearing some traveling stories, when you guys have the time to share. Thanks again...

Jon had a fuel pump fail? Damn I feel his pain if it was the case.

Yeah I used an older walbro pump that I had sitting under my bench... I can't figure out what went wrong with it, I even ripped it open to see if the motor looked funny in any way but I couldn't see anything. I just dropped the tank again yesterday and reinstalled the pump I was running on my last engine.

I hope that works out ok because I tried the replacement to see if it could keep up with the nitrous fuel solenoid and the pressure would just drop off quickly. It was an ok replacement to get me to bfest and home tho.

If this one acts funny, I'm ordering a completely new bucket and the stock style walbro pump not the large center inlet style that I have.

I have to admit seeing that pic of Jon's car on a dolly REALLY got my attention!

Jon's cars don't travel on dollies unless there is something horribly wrong.

Glad you got it sorted, at least to continue.
:good:

I have had walbro pumps suck in the sock filter. It would only do it when it was tested with it submerged in fuel with the sock on it. Cost me a hefty tow bill from the strip and the new warrantied replacement did the same.

Adam, thanks for sharing the pictures! I like the one with my beer (I owe you guys beer next year, btw) in the sand, next to my flip phone, haha.

I had a great time and I cannot wait to do it again next year!

Good times! It was great meeting you Adam!
I suppose I can share some photos for those that didn't see them on Facebook. Oh wait, no I can't. I'm on my tablet and not my phone. I'll try to remember to do it once my phone is charged.
