Post by MAD MARK »

I think Bfest is becoming more and more like its own government. I remember back a few years when we had no problems because everybody was there for a main reason.

I know for a fact I will be there this year and I have every reason to voice an opinion on the organization. I am one of the few that live in Pitt and know the area well. If any any questions can not be answered by a group organizer or whatever, please PM me or MAD73182 on AIM.

Cant we all just have fun, act our age, and let that be that?

I agree Mark.  It is a shame that it has come to this as far as Bfest is concerned, but perhaps this is what it needs to get it back on track and back to what it used to be like?  We can always hope

Well the majority of people on here now are probally 16-17 years old so I guess they are acting their age saddly enough.

Very, very true.

Even so, there are people that are definately older than the 16/17 yr olds that attend that cause just as much trouble.

I am 17 but I don't act it in person beleive it or not.

I do agree that Bfest has become a big "Drunk fest" and it should be aimming for its olds roots.  If Bfest stays like this it will be hard to find hotels and other things for a Bfest to even take place.  We will end up as outsiders and Bfest won't even happen.

It would be nice to see a little more orgaization to Bfest. I had fun last year but it seemed like it was just a big tail gate party. I hope that this year we could have some sort of group tour or activity like in the past. For those who are into drag racing there cars thats great but there are some of us who really don't want to beat the piss out of ours cars. We need to have an altrnative activity planned.

I'm just saying its gotten worse this past BFest.  Theres nothing wrong with getting drunk and partying.  But it has gotten a little out-of-hand compared to past years.

I'm not sure I remember much from 98-01.  Maybe I was oblivious before Memphis.

I'd like it if Bfest was just a nice get together for Beretta owners. I don't like all the drunkedness, but that's just me.

It is a nice get together!!!

This event is like any other, with the good comes the bad. Believe or not but if you dont like the drunks and drinking then there are PLENTY of ways to avoid becoming a part of it, aside from missing it all totally.

Its a very social event.   And for those to judge 2005 to any other year that have not attended prior years is misjudging.     There are a few flaws in the entire event in which I myself have accepted.    I have learned that it IS acceptable to attend Berettafest and outcast others and be in your own group.    Personally, I stay away from those with crappy cars, crappy attitudes and out to cause me harm.    Those who treat me like crap I will just throw it in your face.   I also find it insane but true that I get blamed for things that happened in prior events, anything from throwing things out windows to vandalism.     As far as far as alcohol and drug intoxication,  we have a bit of party like atmosphere.   Alcohol consumption is expected but not recommended, and its up to each person to understand their limitations and what they are doing.      If you think you are going to have a bad reaction with the consumtion of alcohol perhaps its best that you not drink!
