what sway bar is better?
i have a cavy front strut tower bar on my 92beretta right now but i was looking at the one from MRZperformance is it better? is it worth spending that much money. i only paid $20 for the cavy strut tower bar from my local cheverlote dealer so is it worth it?

Best front swaybar, is a 30mm beretta Z26, or GT bar. Thats as big as they come. Addco is the same size.

Re: what sway bar is better?
From everything I've seen the FE7 is a better bar than the FE3. It is direct-acting mounted on the struts instead of the control arms, so it is more effective. It is smaller, so it is also less weight than the FE3 with more exhaust clearance.

If you can get endlinks and decent struts to pair up with it, KYB's dont have the tab.
I'll stick with my 30mm and 1" rear

Seeing as how MRZ doesn't offer SWAY BARS, I'm pretty sure he's talking about STRUT TOWER BARS.
Sheesh Jon, learn to read
To actually ANSWER the OP's question, it's up to you.
They perform roughly the same, but I doubt anyone has done any subjective testing with actual numbers to prove anything.
Just depends if you want bling or not under the hood.

For front strut brace, OEM will work just as good as the flashier MrZ one.
MrZ has a rear one though that OEM you can't find.
As far as sway bars, I heard the 4T60-E cars the FE7 isn't enough as the bigger traditional bars. I think there was even a 31mm bar out there on rare years. ES I think even lists bushings for it.

Re: what sway bar is better?
biggest front sway i ever herd of is 30mm
biggest rear is 26mm
i am about to use a dirty word, mantapart 'lists' all of these and a rear shock tower brace in 1 part or 3 parts.
i have a MRZ strut brace, as it is a 3 piece unit, i sent it out to be welded(aluminium), and then buffed, and then clear coated. tell you it looks good, not sure if it stiffened up the front end..
i also have the front 30mm and the rear 26 mm, and a mrz shock tower brace..
i am happy with the cars response.. but i am just a dumb ass electrician.. what do i know about cars...

Measure it!
Once I get some free time (read: not working on the house all the friggin time), I'm going to convert the Z front bar to FE7 with custom adjustable endlinks... should help balance it a bit more since the heavy 4T60E isn't in there anymore.

I noticed a big difference with the FSB. You may not if you have stock springs/worn struts though. On the hwy it's super responsive.

Re: what sway bar is better?
I have the Cavy STB up front and the MRZ one in the rear. I just thought I'd try the shock tower bar and see if it did anything. Man did it, it helped alot and the new ones are one piece and are 80 bucks. There is more flex in the rear than I thought and that bar got rid of all of it. Also I have a stock rear sway bar.
It's a good idea for all Beretta owners to have shock/strut bars.

Re: what sway bar is better?
ok i went out and measured the sway bars on my car. the fron came out to be 25mm (1inch) and the rear 19mm (if im correct because it was 3/4 of an inch i dont know if i did the math right). should i try and find a bigger rear sway bar or should i piggyback it with the stock internal one that is 17mm

The FE7 bar also improves the feel of the car significantly over the FE3 bar. There's much more driver feedback with the FE7.woody90gtz wrote:From everything I've seen the FE7 is a better bar than the FE3. Addco rear bar is 1" (25.4mm) and the only bigger factory solid one is Z51 which is 21mm.
